Italian cookies from Vicenzi
For over a 100 years now Vicenzi has baked scrumptious Italian cookies. Vicenzi is a family business, founded in 1905 in San Giovanni Lupatoto, a small village near Verona. It was originally a small bakery and grocery. Matilde Vicenzi continued the family business after the death of her husband. By then Vicenzi had already specialized in baking ladyfingers, amaretti (macaroons) and stuffed cookies. Later, from 1950 onwards, grandson Giuseppe carried on the semi-homemade cookie production. Together with his children Mario and Beppina he started on the road toward industrialization. In 1970 Vicenzi built its first cookie factory, still in the small village where it started the business and over the next years Vicenzi grew into a large and professional company that sells its cookies in more than 100 countries.
Exclusively for The Netherlands, Foodkitchen has selected the Matilde line: a complete range of Italian cookies in a pretty white packaging. Next to the familiar cantuccini and amaretti there are other delectable Italian cookies, e.g. with hazelnuts or chocolate. For gift-wrapping presents, we have attractive tins or boxes containing a variety of Matilde cookies. For selling separately we have cantuccione: large cantuccini packed individually. For the catering industry Vicenzi supplies cantuccine and ameretti in a large packaging, with the amaretti packed individually in a pretty white flowpack.
