Australian cookies of The Byron Bay Company

At long last we can enjoy the thick homemade cakes from the Byron Bay Cookie Company in The Netherlands as well! After having spent years in New York, Maggi Miles and Gary Lines discovered an idyllic spot on the Australian east coast, named Byron Bay. In the early Nineties, using the name Pickles, Pies and Petticoats, they started baking cookies and solid cakes for the local market at home in the oven of their “country cottage”.

The local catering industry and a national department store started selling these cakes and cookies and it turned out to be a great success. Customers spoke enthusiastically about “those cookies from Byron Bay” and as a result the company name was changed to the Byron Bay Cookie Company. At the same time they invested in a modern factory. Ever since, the company has grown like there is no tomorrow. Byron Bay is market leader in Australia when it comes to “café cookies”, scrumptious cakes with chunks of nut, chocolate or other marvelous ingredients, sold per piece out of the special glass jar by the catering industry. The often-awarded Byron Bay Cookies are now sold in various countries outside Australia. And now in The Netherlands as well!
